Conflict in Literature provides crucial tension in any story. After reading an extract from the novel ‘The Kite Runner’ by Khaled Hosseini, students focused on Internal Conflict. In this type of stories, the characters struggle with their own opposing desires. They often have to make an important decision or are in constant search of their own identity. After reading about the protagonist, Amir, who feels he has failed his father as a son and wonders whether he should try to please him or pursue his own interests, students had to respond to Amir’s letter asking for their advice.
